Holy crap! A 9000 manuel? COOL!!! Price - $20,500 with a claimed investment of $40,500 in restoration! The front seats even look like crap (color match, pinching). Can we all give a collective CPPPPPPPPPPPP or is there someone here who would spend 20 large for a 136K mile 9000

I'm assuming the price is because Kate Upton is tied up in the trunk.

+1 on Odometer Fraud. Especially (not that you even really need that word when it's not really a gray area) since they didn't put a new engine in it. Maybe with a complete frame-off resto (on an old pickup or something, not this car, I know this doesn't apply to this actual car) and complete drivetrain replacement including a NEW crate motor, maybe, then you could put a 0 mile odometer on something. But yea, this car has 136k and is in REALLY nice shape.

Only changing the head gasket on a 130'000 mile car does not a new car make. Even if it's minor there'll be some level of wear to rings and bearings. If you're going to roll back the odo at least rebuild the engine.

Might as well tack another zero on that price. Makes no difference. All Saab is anymore is a $1500 turbo shit-machine to abuse and have unholy fun with. Well, you can still get a nice one, but they aren't really Saabs to me.

Fishy indeed.

Enjoy the MILEAGE READING IS NOT ACTUAL disclaimer on the title once you try to register it.

Under the reason for not relying upon the odometer, I think I would have to put Prior owner's smug sense of sell-importance

agreed. They were NEVER much more than that to me. And cap the price at $800

You can't even smoke that pipe because it's cracked too badly.

Although it does sort of give me warm fuzzies that someone did this to a 9000.

It would make me more warm and fuzzy if the original owner had the money to finish it out and then was trying to cut his losses (though I am sure you can drive that thing long enough for it to pay for the work). Now the garage is trying to make bank on it. It is wholly possible the bill might have been that high...MAYBE, but I would have preferred one interior color on my leather, even if it did need a conditioning and a restitch. The odometer is really irking me though. motor has 136K on it, wasnt even rebuilt. Usually saab people are proud of the mileage they racked up. So 20K for a car with exempted mileage is what it boils down to
